PDRI Control Chart
If your organization is looking to better understand where there may be systemic issues in your Front End Planning process, the Control Chart is a good starting point.
The control chart will illustrate each assessment as a sequential number plotted on the timeline. Portfolio managers can easily identify projects that are outliers and can quickly drill down to investigate areas of concern (click on the blue hyperlinked project names in the table below the Control Chart).
The control chart indicates the Upper Control Limit (UCL) and Lower Control Limit (LCL). Control limits are calculated as follows:
UCL= μ + 2σ
LCL= μ + 2σ
Where μ is the mean and σ is the standard deviation. Based on a normal distribution, 95% of assessments should fall within these limits.
Advanced Criteria can be used to filter the data displayed on the Control Chart.
