How to Use CRA Insights
Getting to CRA Insights
From the Prepare mode of a CRA assessment, navigate to the Insights page.
Insights are generated according to the selected benchmarking comparisons and use embedded expert logic to identify key outliers. AI summaries are created for each insight using the related comments and action items from the assessment. The 'AI summary" tag is used to highlight which insight descriptions have been generated using AI.
Navigate to the instructions box at the top of the Insights page. Click on the blue hyperlinked 'Instructions' to show or hide the steps on how to use Insights.
Generating CRA Insights
To generate insights for a completed assessment:
- Locate the 'Compare To' dropdown and select Company if you would like the insights to compare against your company benchmarking. The comparisons are also always accompanied by a comparison to CII benchmarks for construction readiness. Comparing to None means that the insights will compare only against CII benchmarks.
- Click Generate
The table below outlines the minimum requirements and recommended usage guidelines for comparisons against company standards or no benchmark at all.

Preparing Insights for Your Executive Summary
Review Identified Outliers
- Based on the selection 'Compare To' benchmark, review the generated insights and identify outliers
- The Category Insights highlight both areas of strength (green) and potential risks (red).
- A summary statement and graph are generated for each insight
- The Improvements from Previous Assessment section is included only if a previous assessment within the same project has been conducted. It highlights the categories with the greatest score improvement.
- The Priority Factors to Achieve Construction Readiness section is included only if the project scores between 75-85%. It highlights the most important factors to complete in order to achieve construction readiness.
Edit Statements
- Click on the Insights title to display the underlying data; review inputs
- Altered AI summaries are denoted with an 'AI Summary (Edited)
Sort Insights
After the assessment insights have been generated, a 'Sort By' dropdown will appear beside the 'Show' dropdown, which allows you to sort the generated insights by importance, assessment order. This dropdown will automatically change to 'Custom' if you manually reorder the insights.
Selecting Insights to Include in Executive Summary
- Click the toggle to the left of the Insights, turning it green and highlighting the insight in blue. This selects the insight for inclusion in the Executive Summary. Choose those that best support you summary.
Suggestion: Select a maximum of 5 insights to include in the Executive Summary
- Click and drag the 3 grey lines at the end of each insight box to re-order in the manner which you would like to have them reflected in your Executive Summary.
- Filter your view of the selected Insights using the 'Show' dropdown at the top of the page.
An "Insights are out of date" message will appear if any further edits to the assessment are made (i.e., changing an element score or updating an action item).
Attempting to regenerate Insights at any time will trigger a popup warning that a new generation will rewrite any changes, edits, or selections that have been made.
