Create Self Assessments

Admin, Facilitator, and Project Manager users have the ability to create and manage self assessments within Carve. Self assessments allow Project Managers to independently evaluate their projects using the same structure as facilitated assessments, without impacting benchmarking data or analytics.

Self assessments can be created for all project assurance assessment templates, including:

1. Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) Assessments
   
2. Construction Readiness Assessments (CRA)
   
3. Commissioning & Operational Readiness (COR) Assessments
   

Overview

When a user creates a new assessment in a project, they can make it a Self Assessment by clicking the checkbox in the bottom left.

1. The current user is automatically populated as the Assessor for the assessment to provide visibility on who created/conducted the self assessment.. This cannot be modified.
   
2. A Self Assessment banner appears within the assessment to clarify that it is a self assessment.
   
3. The status of the assessment is set to Self Assessment and cannot be modified.

Create a Self-Assessment as a Project Manager

When a Project Manager creates a new assessment in a project where they are assigned as the Project Manager, it is automatically designated as a Self Assessment.

1. From the Carve Projects dashboard, locate the project that you would like to create a self assessment for.
   
2. Click on the Project name to view the contained assessments.
   
3. Click Create Self Assessment.

Permissions & Data Handling

Permissions

1. Project Managers can only create and view self assessments, but cannot create regular (facilitated) assessments
   
2. Admins and Facilitators can create and view self assessments
3. Stakeholder cannot create or view self assessmentsSelf assessments are excluded from:

1. Company averages - to maintain the accuracy of internal benchmarking data
   
2. Industry benchmarking - to ensure external comparisons reflect facilitated assessments only
