User Roles

User Roles

TAR uses a role-based security model. Four user roles are supported in TAR:
  1. Company Admin
  2. Facilitator
  3. Site User 
  4. Stakeholder 
Each user is assigned a role based on the functional capabilities they require, the table below summarizes some of the capabilities of each user.

Note: Business Admin users have the same TAR permissions as Company Admin users. Project Manager users do not have access to the TAR module or Events within Carve. 

Stakeholder

A Stakeholder is a view-only user in the TAR module. These users typically require visibility into assessment results and readiness information. Stakeholders cannot create, edit, finalize, publish, or delete events or assessments. Access is limited to published assessments within assigned portfolios.

The Stakeholder role allows users to: 
  1. View events within assigned portfolios
  2. View published assessments 
  3. Export close-out presentations for published formal assessments 

Site User

A Site User is a limited-access user in the TAR module. These users are typically responsible for conducting Self Assessments and updating findings associated with assessments within their assigned portfolios. Site Users cannot create or conduct formal assessments. Access is limited to assigned portfolios.

The Site User role allows users to:
  1. Create, update, and delete Self Assessments 
  2. Conduct and finalize Self Assessments 
  3. View any assessment within assigned portfolios
    1. Update findings (select fields) 
    2. Export associated findings 
    3. Export close-out presentation 
    4. Export factor details

Note: Site User access is limited to the TAR module and does not include access to Projects within Carve. 

Facilitator

A Facilitator is an advanced user in the TAR module. These users are typically responsible for conducting formal assessments, documenting findings, and finalizing assessment results within their assigned portfolios. Facilitators have full access to manage Events and assessments related to turnaround readiness activities. Access is limited to assigned portfolios.

The Facilitator role allows users to:
  1. Create, edit, and delete events and assessments 
  2. Conduct and finalize formal assessments 
  3. Create, edit, and manage findings 
  4. Export findings, close-out presentations, and factor details 

Company Admin

A Company Admin is the highest-level user in the TAR module. These users are responsible for managing system configuration, user access, portfolios, and assessment templates. Company Admins have full access to all events, assessments, findings, and administrative functions within the TAR module.

The Company Admin role allows users to: 
  1. Create, edit, and delete users and portfolios 
  2. Manage TAR templates and system configuration settings 
  3. Create, edit, and delete events, assessments, and findings 
  4. Conduct and finalize assessments 
  5. Export findings, close-out presentations, and factor details
